Sevilla boss Unai Emery has praised Real Sociedad after his side lost 2-1 to the Erreala on Saturday evening.
The Rojiblancos went down to an Ivan Rakitic own goal and a first half strike from Imanol Agirretxe, but the Coach has insisted that his team put in 'a great effort'.
“Real Sociedad are a very good team,” he told a Press conference. “We have to congratulate them. They have a great season.
“But we did not control the game the way we wanted.
“We had opportunities to score an equaliser, but just couldn't take them. We lacked any real possession, and never really created or exploited space.
“But no effort has been spared on our part. The boys put in a real effort. They are not to be blamed at all.
“We have to continue to grow and then improve.”
