Mundo Deportivo believe that the delay in Barcelona and Eric Abidal determining his future is down to the player considering other offers.
Yesterday saw club spokesman Toni Freixa confirm that the Catalans had not received an answer from Abidal on their latest proposal sent to him, whilst an upcoming meeting between the Frenchman and President Sandro Rosell will see the situation ‘probably resolved’.
Mundo Deportivo believe that Abidal’s delay in replying to Barca is out of having received other offers to consider.
Thought to have had interest from Ligue 1 in the past few months, the 33-year-old former Lyon man, who this season returned to playing after a year out following a liver transplant, has apparently received an offer from Paris Saint-Germain.
Yesterday the player took to his official Twitter account: “Thank you all for your messages…we will keep you informed as soon as possible.”
