‘PSG project bigger than Ancelotti’

Paris Saint-Germain President Nasser Al-Khelaifi has reflected that the club’s project will not be dented if Carlo Ancelotti leaves.

The Italian is reportedly looking to depart the Parc des Princes this summer in favour of a move to Real Madrid.

Whilst the French are said to be holding out for the €4m buyout clause in his contract to be met, Al-Khelaifi has considered the possibility of his exit and is unconcerned.

“The project is not going to stop if Carlo goes,” the club President told Le Parisien today.

“The project is bigger than one person, be that the Coach or a President.

“It is the beginning of a great story here and one person is not going to change that.

“The club is more important than us, others may arrive and continue the project.

“The project will not stop if one person leaves.”
