Messi sets two new scoring records

Lionel Messi set two new goalscoring records on Saturday evening as Barcelona drew 2-2 with Athletic Bilbao.

The Argentine forward's second half strike was his 24th away goal of the campaign, which beats the previous best of 23 set by Cristiano Ronaldo last season.

It was also the 15th away match in a row that the Blaugrana striker has found the net, beating the record of 14 held by Dani Guiza since 2007/08.

Messi will have two more games to extend those records this term, as Barca travel to Vicente Calderon to face Atletico Madrid and Cornelia-El Prat to play Espanyol before the season is up.
