Madrid into Verratti

Real Madrid are reportedly preparing a €25m bid to take Italian midfielder Marco Verratti away from Paris Saint-Germain.

Verratti only moved to PSG last summer from Pescara for a fee in the region of €12m, but has impressed enough already to apparently attract the attentions of both Madrid and Manchester United.

Speculation in recent weeks has been that Verratti may be the subject of an offer or two come the summer and Sportitalia have it that Madrid will come forward with €25m this summer.

That is understood to be at the request of current PSG boss Carlo Ancelotti, if he were to leave the Parisian outfit and take over at Madrid in the summer, as has been speculated through recent months.

Meanwhile, Verratti’s agent has indicated to reporters in Italy this week that the player will begin talks with PSG over the possibility of improving his current contract.
