Pepe was satisfied with his Real Madrid side after they defeated Real Betis 3-1 on Saturday evening.
A goal from Karim Benzema and a brace from Mesut Ozil gave Los Blancos the three points at Santiago Bernabeu.
And the Portuguese defender has insisted that it was a good victory for the capital club, whilst also commenting on their upcoming matches.
“The most important thing was to win and to carry on fighting,” he told Real Madrid's official website.
“We played well in the first half and controlled the match more in the second half.
“They scored and put more pressure on us, but we managed to win the three points.
“First we have to focus on Borussia, which is a very important match, in which the whole year’s work is at play.
“Then we have to be ready for the match against Atletico and be able to win.”
