Pepe Mel admitted his surprise at the extent to which his Real Betis side defeated Granada on Friday evening.
The Verdiblancos came away from Los Carmenes with a 5-1 victory, and the Coach has conceded that he did not expect such an emphatic three points.
“We did not expect to win by this much,” he told a Press conference. “We were here to win, but we never thought about this scoreline.
“We managed to contain Granada and then we hit them with our speed up front.
“Today we took a step towards our goal. We have a tough schedule, but we have the dream of making Europe next season.”
