Raphael Varane could sense the enthusiasm from the fans after Real Madrid’s win over Galatasaray, but commented that focus remains game by game.
Madrid were convincing 3-0 winners over Gala in their Champions League quarter-final first leg to all but guarantee a place in the semi-finals of the competition they are keen to win for a 10th time.
“We played well and left little room for the attackers. Not conceding is good,” focused Varane post-match.
“We want to win the Champions League, but it is difficult and we have to go match by match.
“I'm in good form and want to keep improving. We played as a team and so I don’t have to worry about any pressure in particular.”
