Matias Almeyda has reflected that Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho is his reference point when it comes to coaching.
Almeyda has recently made the transition from player to Coach, enduring just over a year in his first job at River Plate.
The former midfielder, who began the European tour of his playing career with Sevilla, has revealed that one inspiration for him is former Inter and current Madrid Coach Mourinho.
“He is a great tactician. I often refer to him as an example,” the 39-year-old Almeyda told reporters today.
“I’d really like to retrace his steps.
“I often watch Spanish football and to take charge of a club like Real Madrid would be a real dream come true.”
