Negredo ‘will go to Premier League’

Alvaro Negredo has admitted that he intends to one day play in the Premier League, although it depends on Sevilla’s position.

The striker is seen as one of the club’s prime assets up for sale this coming summer, as the Andalucians look to alleviate pressure from a €50m debt.

Linked to a number of Premier League clubs in the past, the 27-year-old revealed to Estadio Deportivo this week that he was indeed the subject of a bid from an unnamed club in January.

“The President had an offer, but did not evaluate it,” Negredo, who has scored 21 goals for Sevilla this season, commented.

“Directly to me he did not say anything and it was not the time to leave.

“I do not know what will happen in the future. It depends on what the club want and what we need.

“The Premier League? I have said it before, I have never hidden this. It is a League that I like. I do not know if it will be now, or later, or tomorrow, but I will play there.”
