Clement Chantome acknowledged Valencia’s efforts in defeat against Paris Saint-Germain, admitting that the French ‘dug deep’ to eliminate the Spanish.
Los Che drew 1-1 at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday evening to be eliminated at the Last 16 stage of the Champions League 3-2 on aggregate.
“They fought hard until the end, but we dug deep to win,” commented Chantome to UEFA’s official website afterwards.
“We suffered a lot. It was important for the squad to react [after the weekend defeat against Stade de Reims].”
