Valencia confirm Valdez signing

Valencia have seemingly confirmed that they have made Nelson Valdez’ transfer from Rubin Kazan permanent, signing him for a further two years.

The Paraguayan originally joined Los Che last summer on a season-long loan from the Russian outfit.

However, there were a number of appearance-based clauses in the agreement and reports emerged this month that the striker had already reached a number high enough to trigger Valencia’s automatic purchase of him.

In a statement released on their official website advertising an interview with Valdez in their club magazine, Valencia have confirmed that the player has signed on permanently until June 2015.

Valdez has played 20 times for Valencia this term in La Liga, netting five goals, whilst he has also appeared six times so far in the Champions League, scoring one more goal there.

Of these 26 appearances, 21 have come from the substitutes’ bench.
