Karanka: First half was no good

Real Madrid assistant Aitor Karanka has admitted that his side played a game of two halves against Deportivo.

Los Blancos defeated the Turcos 2-1 on Saturday evening, but only thanks to late goals from Kaka and Gonzalo Higuain.

And Jose Mourinho's right-hand man has conceded that his team were completely different after the break.

“The first half was not good at all,” he told a Press conference. “That's why we made changes because we had to improve.

“The attitude was better in the second half – we were different.

“We were not surprised by Depor, we knew they could cause us problems. In fact, the only surprise was that we weren't trailing by more at half time.”
