SAF angry with Madrid’s extra day off

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has hit out at the Premier League for failing to adapt the fixture schedule around the Champions League.

The Old Trafford side host Everton on Sunday before travelling to Madrid to face Jose Mourinho's side on Wednesday. Los Blancos meanwhile have an extra day's rest as they play Sevilla on Saturday evening.

And the Scottish Coach has vented his anger at the League authorities, claiming they are 'ridiculous'.

“Other countries make sacrifices for their best teams in Europe,” he told a Press conference. “It's ridiculous that we're playing on Sunday and Madrid have an extra day of rest.

“But there is no point complaining about it. How many times have you heard me say this?”
