Jose Luis Caminero has insisted that now is not the right time to talk about the possible departure of Radamel Falcao.

The Atletico Madrid striker is one of the hottest properties in European football right now, with the likes of Real Madrid, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain all interested in signing the Colombian forward.

But the club's sporting director has claimed that the goalscorer is full focused on life at Vicente Calderon and also commented on some of his team's own market actions over January.

“We have a contract with Falcao,” he told Marca. “We are happy to have him and hopefully he can get a lot more goals.

“We have to focus on the League, try to win every game, and then at the end of the season we will see what happens.

“Our squad at the moment is adequate for what we need to do. We acted quickly to sign Insua over the winter, but we were surprised that Emre left [for Fenerbache].

“We followed several players, but it was difficult to get ones that would really improve the squad.”

The administrator then remarked on the future of Coach Diego Simeone.

"Simeone is the soul of the team," he added. "There is no doubt that he will be at the helm next season."
