Ahead of today’s friendly, Luis Suarez has reminded his Uruguay teammates that Spain ‘are human’ and that they also ‘must lose games’.
Suarez is preparing with his international colleagues for Wednesday evening’s friendly in Doha, Qatar against La Roja, and is keen to, respectively, humanise the world and double European champions.
“They are not impossible to beat, but they are smart players, with a lot of quality and they think before their opponents and that makes them a little different,” explained the Liverpool man today.
“Spain have shown in recent times that they are the best squad in football, they are very hard to beat, for the confidence the players have and because opponents respect them a lot.
“However, they are human and they must lose games, as they already have. But, they should not be criticised every time they might, because they have already shown that they have a lot of quality.”
