Ferguson: De Gea criticism ‘unfair’

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has called those criticising goalkeeper David De Gea 'idiots'.

The Spanish shot-stopper has come under-fire in recent weeks after his performances for the Premier League club.

But the Scottish tactician has claimed that those picking apart the 22-year-old are 'unreasonable'.

“You have to listen to some idiots during the game,” he told a Press conference. “I do not care about the reviews – I know they are unfounded and unfair.

“Outfield players commit 20 errors in a game, but the goalkeeper makes one and it's focused on.

“De Gea has to try and endure the criticism and let us help him.”
