Levante eye Acquafresca, Bienvenu

Levante could opt to make a bid for Bologna’s Robert Acquafresca, even if a transfer for Henri Bienvenu goes through.

Los Granotes are in the market for another striker to supplement Obafemi Martins’ efforts and are reported by Superdeporte as potentially just hours away from wrapping up a deal to take Bienvenu away from Fenerbahce.

The 24-year-old Cameroonian is believed on the verge of completing a six-month loan deal to play at the Ciutat de Valencia for the rest of the season.

However, the Valencians are also reportedly interested in adding a third striker to the squad for the season and have identified Bologna’s Acquafresca. Through fitness and form, the 25-year-old has not started a game since September for the Rossoblu.

He has also not scored a goal in any competition since the first week of March last year and, whilst the Italian is seen as more expensive for Levante than Bienvenu, he is described as an option that the Spanish are seriously considering this January.
