UEFA explain ban to Malaga

Malaga have this week received the detailed reasons from UEFA for why the governing body have banned the club from European competition next year.

UEFA have hit Malaga with a ban from the next European club competition they qualify for in the coming four seasons, as punishment for ‘overdue payables’ – money owed to various creditors.

Malaga have since been preparing a case to take to the Court of Arbitration for Sport and now have a period of 10 days to look over UEFA’s reasons – provided to them on Monday – for why the ban was put in place.

It is believed that the club will look to test the strength of UEFA’s argument with CAS and push the point that they have in fact complied with all UEFA regulation leading up to the European governing body’s imposition of this suspension.
