Spain given mixed Confed Cup group

Spain have been drawn against Uruguay, Tahiti and the African Cup of Nations champion for the 2013 Confederations Cup in Brazil.

The tournament is a dress rehearsal for the World Cup, and La Roja have been given a mixed draw with the South American winners, the African champions – to be decided in February – and the Oceania titleholders.

Vicente Del Bosque's side will start their campaign in Recife on June 16 against Washington Tabarez's Uruguay, before moving to Rio de Janeiro on June 20 and Fortaleza on June 23 to play Tahiti and the African nation respectively.

The other group in the draw consisted of Brazil, Italy, Mexico and Japan.
