Cruyff ‘not nervous’ about Barca lead

Barcelona legend Johan Cruyff has claimed that the Blaugrana virtually have one hand on the League trophy with an 11 point lead over Real Madrid.

Tito Vilanvoa's side are well ahead of Los Blancos and sit three points clear of Atletico Madrid in second.

And the 65-year-old former forward believes the Catalan club should not be nervous with five months of the season remaining.

“If the club are relaxed and grab a glass of champagne, what happens happens,” he told reporters. “But I would not be nervous.

“The Barcelona approach is clear. Tito must think only of himself and his team. The distance is so great [between Barcelona and Real Madrid] that nothing can really happen.”

He then commented on Jose Mourinho's side and their recent poor performances.

“Normally, if your rival is 11 points clear, many people will not be happy and complain,” he said. “Some Madrid fans are in favour [of Mourinho], some are against. But their biggest problem is the fate of Barcelona.”
