Celta Vigo sporting director Miguel Torrecilla is confident that star-striker Iago Aspas will stay at the club beyond January.
The 25-year-old has been the target of Press speculation over recent weeks, claiming that he could make a move to Atletico Madrid over the winter break.
But the 42-year-old believes that the €10m buyout clause in his contract could put a lot of Spanish clubs off.
“I don't know anything about Atletico's interest,” Torrecilla told AS. “I imagine that Iago is on the list of a lot of clubs.
“He is a remarkable player, and if his performances continue as they have been, then the speculation will certainly increase.
“I think it will be difficult for a Spanish side to get him though. The €10m we want will probably not come from this country – so I can't really see Iago leaving.”
