Osasuna hosted Malaga for a goalless draw to open Week 12 of La Liga, but Jose Luis Mendilibar’s men will believe it should have been a home win.
The Pamplona outfit thought they had taken the lead in the opening two minutes of play in this Saturday afternoon affair, when Kike Sola put the ball in the net.
However, it was ruled out for offside, which replays suggested was an incorrect decision. Malaga responded and soon also had the ball in the net, only for a correct offside to rule out Joaquin Sanchez’ effort.
The visitors took possession for a majority of this encounter, but it was Mendilibar’s side that proved most effective with the ball, creating the greater chances and otherwise proving stubborn for Manuel Pellegrini’s team to break through in a generally uneventful encounter.
