Pellegrini: La Liga very balanced

Malaga boss Manuel Pellegrini is aware of the difference Osasuna's vociferous support can make in tomorrow's game.

Los Boquerones travel to Pamplona hoping to get back on track after two straight defeats, but will be up against improving opponents who are notoriously tough to beat at home.

“Regardless of where you are in the table, Osasuna is always a difficult ground,” Pellegrini declared in conversation with local media.

“The Reyno de Navarra exerts a lot of pressure. Osasuna this year have been stumbling, but I am sure we will find an opponent as difficult as we had last week,” he added, a pointed reference to Malaga's shock 2-1 home loss to Real Sociedad.

The Chilean feels it is overly simplistic to put the blame for his side's stutters on Champions League induced fatigue.

“There are many reasons, although I don't like searching for them. We had a pitch in very poor condition, a lot of games, rivals who played well, we played bad also. These things add up and I do not think you can focus only a theoretical fatigue.”

Pellegrini underlined his respect for the Rojillos by arguing that outwith Barcelona and Real Madrid, there is very little separating the clubs in La Liga.

“I appreciate that all the Spanish teams are more or less the same, except for those two who are above because of their budget. The rest can win and lose against each other, the League is very balanced.”
