Sisi forgets Valladolid affection

Osasuna's Sisi admits he still regards Real Valladolid fondly but says that will be forgotten when the clubs meet on Sunday.

The man otherwise known as Sisinio Gonzalez helped Valladolid get promoted to La Liga but then jumped ship to Osasuna in the summer.

Now, with his new club bottom of the League and his old one not doing much better, he is looking forward to a reunion this weekend which doubles as a relegation six pointer.

“For me it is a special game, because I have much affection for them” the midfielder told Marca. “But on the field that will be forgotten. We must focus on ourselves. Winning would give us confidence.”

Sisi is not too discouraged by Osasuna's Copa del Rey loss to Sporting Gijon last night.

“The only negative yesterday was the result. We had the ball and moved well. Personally I enjoyed the game and our performance. Now what remains are the results. We cannot be negative because if we are we will go down for sure.”
