Getafe make hard work of Zaragoza

A second half Diego Castro penalty was enough to see Getafe beat Real Zaragoza in a fiery encounter that saw three men sent off.

The home side got off to the worst possible start, as Romaric was given a straight red card inside 10 minutes. The man advantage looked to have given the Azulones extra impetus, and they very nearly made it count midway through the half, but David Abraham could only head over from eight yards.

Luis Garcia Plaza's men were becoming more and more dominant, and should have gone one up when Castro had his shot saved from the edge of the area.

Eventually though, they did open the scoring, but only after Alvaro Gonzalez made it two red cards for Manolo Jimenez's men, with Castro converting the spot kick.

This bad-tempered game turned farcical late on as Abdel Barrada was given his marching orders for Getafe, but the visitors' held on for the three points.
