Calf injury for R. Costa

Valencia defender Ricardo Costa faces a spell on the sidelines as his club confirm he has suffered a torn calf.

The centre-back pulled out of training earlier this week after feeling a pain in his right calf and, after undergoing tests, has had it confirmed that he has torn the muscle.

With a 0.5cm rupture in his muscle, the player has been advised to sit out full training for the coming week, upon which further tests will be carried out to determine precisely how long the player will be out of action for.
