JIM: Start playing in hotel

Juan Ignacio Martinez is so desperate for a away win he wants Levante to start playing the Osasuna game before they leave the hotel.

The Granotes have collected seven points from a possible nine at their Estadio Ciutat de Valencia stronghold but lost both of their away games thus far, and Martinez wants that to change.

“At the Reyno de Navarra, or Sadar as they call it now, we have to start playing the match before we leave the hotel, or it will go very wrong,” said the man colloquially known as JIM.

“It will be a difficult game and we know that ahead of time. We have to be very plugged in because the pace will be high.”

Osasuna are bottom with just one point but Martinez doesn't take that as a reflection of their true ability.

“Only five games have been played, they are a very good team. They've played against big teams and had them on the ropes. Barcelona won, but they could well have lost here.”

The former Albacete boss, whose side face Hannover in the Europa League next week, then gave an update on those likely to feature at El Sadar, and those that could miss out.

“The coaching staff have a good feeling about Obafemi Martins. I don't rule out Juanlu, but it is hard to see him playing. We have three games in a week and don't want him to risk a relapse.”
