Juanma has reached an agreement with Real Betis to rescind his contract at the club a year early.
The midfielder, who has 86 appearances and five goals to his name during a four-year stint with Los Beticos, has today cut ties with the club.
Coach Pepe Mel made it clear over the summer that the 31-year-old former Levante man would not feature in his plans and the club have today confirmed the agreement to part ways.
“Real Betis thanks Juanma for his services to the club and the great professionalism the player has had over the years when wearing the shirt and wishes him all the luck in his new direction,” read a posting on Betis’ official website, reporting the news.
