After being drawn against Milan, Zenit St Petersburg and Anderlecht, Malaga have reason to be optimistic, says director Francisco Martin Aguilar.
The Anchovies defeated Panathinaikos 2-0 in the qualifying round to earn a place in the group stages and their reward, beyond the finances, is trips to Italy, Russia and Belgium.
For their director Aguilar, who attended the draw, it is also a group they can hold optimism for.
“I think ours is a manageable group,” he told reporters. “There is one very strong team in Milan and then there are the rest of us.
“We have a lot of faith and belief that we can do something great in the tournament.”
