Real Betis have confirmed that former Villarreal right-back Angel Lopez has agreed a deal to join them.
Lopez, who left the Yellow Submarine after their relegation to La Segunda at the end of last season, has been confirmed by Los Beticos’ sporting director Vlada Stosic as having agreed a contract with the club and having already passed a medical.
The 31-year-old, who also reportedly had an offer on the table from Espanyol, is described by Stosic as just needing to add his signature to complete the move.
Lopez suffered a torn cruciate ligament injury last season, but is said to have completely recovered now.
