Madrid’s Modric web blunder

Real Madrid’s official website mistakenly published a photo of transfer target Luka Modric last night.

ABC news report that the Croatian was pictured wearing a white jersey with the caption: ‘Los Blancos midfielder’.

There was also a short biography of Modric's time with Tottenham, detailing his 13 goals and 24 assists in 127 games.

Madrid’s management quickly removed the offending article, however, citing a hacker as to blame.

It is widely believed though, that the post was simply a blunder by a press officer, as the transfer is thought to be imminent.

Modric has been linked with a €40m move to the Spanish capital throughout the summer, with Coach Jose Mourinho rumoured to be at the forefront of negotiations himself.
