Juventus could turn to Negredo

Juventus could make a move for Sevilla’s Alvaro Negredo if an attempt to sign Fernando Llorente proves too costly, according to AS.

It is understood the Old Lady will offer a maximum €20m for Llorente, who has informed Athletic Bilbao he is not prepared to sign a contract renewal with the club, but if their offer is not accepted they will turn to Negredo.

The Madrid-born player, considered a cheaper alternative, has been linked with several clubs over the summer and was believed to be on the verge of a move to Andalusian neighbours Malaga before they were put up for sale by owner Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Thani.

The Spanish international was bought for €15m from Real Madrid three years ago after Los Blancos had exercised their right to buy him back for €5m from Almeria, where he had netted 31 League goals in 70 appearances

Negredo has continued his good form at the Sanchez Pizjuan, scoring 45 goals in 103 La Liga games.
