Luis Garcia admitted that his side were beaten fairly by Malaga on Sunday evening, whilst Manuel Pellegrini thought his men deserved more.
Goals from Weligton and Roque Sant Cruz gave the Boquerones a 2-1 win over the Azulones at La Rosaleda.
And the away side’s Coach has conceded that the opposition were on their game.
“It was a game played with real intensity,” he briefly told a Press conference.
“They had more punch than us.”
The Chilean boss meanwhile, conceded that his side bounced back well from last weekend’s loss to Valencia.
“I think the result does not reflect the play of the two teams,” he told a Press conference.
“If we review it, they only had the goal. Whereas as we had a number of chances – at least six clear chances I think.
“We needed some changes after the last game. I was not satisfied with the 5-1 loss [to Valencia] and we had to find alternatives.”
