PRIMERA MATCH REPORT

Primera Week 26 - 3 Mar 2013 (14.00 UK)
Getafe 2 - 0 Real Zaragoza
Coliseum Alfonso Perez

Manolo Jimenez was disgusted with his Real Zaragoza team after they lost 2-0 to Getafe, whilst Luis Garcia admitted his men were deserved winners.

The Blanquillos went down to the Azulones at Coliseum Alfonso Perez on Friday night, and the 49-year-old was clearly upset with his side as they fell to within two points of the drop zone.

“We deserve to be where we are in the League,” he told a Press conference. “I want players who have the guts to pull on the shirt, not jump shirt.

“What was a possibility a few weeks ago is now a reality. We played a very bad game here tonight.

“Everyone is hurt and angry, but we have what it takes to get out of this situation.”

The 40-year-old Coach meanwhile, has insisted that his side will go game-by-game until May – not thinking of a European place come the end of the season.

“We just want to continue winning games,” he told a Press conference. “We'll just go game-by-game and enjoy the period we are in at the moment.

“I am very happy with the group and delighted for everyone around the club.

“I told them at half-time that they were missing a gear, and the team delivered. We are working hard – so I have to congratulate the boys.”
