Gregorio Manzano was left frustrated with Mallorca for being the better side but still losing out to Valencia.
Sunday evening saw Los Che run out 2-0 winners at home to the Islanders, despite having had Tino Costa sent off early on in the match.
“I’ll take the development of the game as a whole, because when we played when we had the same number of players we were the better team,” reflected Manzano afterwards.
“We were hit for their first shot on goal. Among their successes and our mistakes, we leave Mestalla empty.
“I believe that at 1-0 it was a game that we had dominated with chances enough to move forward. For a counter-attack against we were killed.
“The team were more comfortable and confident than in the last game, but we must still work to get out of the relegation zone.
“If we were overwhelmed, I’d worry about other things, but we have the idea now that football has no guarantee of success.”
