Manolo Jimenez was fuming with his players after they lost 1-0, but Jose Luis Mendilibar was delighted with ‘an important weekend’.
An early Kike Sola goal condemned the Blanquillos to their 14th loss of the campaign which saw slip to 17th in the League.
And the 49-year-old Coach has admitted that his side deserved to lose.
“I feel angry after that,” he told a Press conference. “We deserve this defeat. We didn't take any risks.
“We played a great first half, but we didn't come out in the second half. Maybe a point would have been far, but we were slow to adapt tactically.”
The 51-year-old meanwhile admitted that his team are showing the sort of form that could see them avoid relegation.
“This weekend was an important one for us,” he told a Press conference. “We won and other results went our way.
“The victory sees us move away from the relegation zone, and that's obviously the most important thing.
“I hope we can continue like this. Some might say that they do not like playing Osasuna, but that's fine with me.”
