Manuel Pellegrini was pleased with his side as they came from behind. But Juan Ignacio Martinez thought his team deserved more from the game.
Two goals from Isco completed a 2-1 win for the Andalusian side, and the Chilean Coach has claimed that the three points gained at Ciutat de Valencia could be crucial.
“We knew it was going to be hard to play here,” he told a Press conference. “Levante are really good at home and have proved in the past that they can handle our system.
“It was a balanced game in the first half, but we improved vastly in the second half.
“Our defence was solid and we took our chances when they came.
“As a group we played well, and individually everyone was on their game.”
The 48-year-old meanwhile, didn't believe the result reflected the game itself.
“Overall, I think we were better than the opponents,” he told a Press conference. “We played well individually and collectively, but we just couldn't take our chances.
“Today has been a bit of a shock to us. We said at half-time that we had to remain tight, but when you are up against a player like Isco, anything can happen.”
