Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro believes ‘hard work’ is the only remedy for the club to overcome it’s ‘difficult moment’.
Los Blancos suffered a 1-0 defeat to Leganes in the Copa del Rey but advanced to the quarter-finals on aggregate, with continued doubts surrounding the team’s form.
“We realise this is a bad moment and we can only rectify it with hard work,” Casemiro told reporters, as cited by Marca.
“We know what it takes to win titles, the effort and dedication levels involved and sometimes staying silent is the best option.
“We have lost tonight but we qualified for the quarter-finals and that was our objective, we believe we controlled the game.
“You never want to lose a game but when you qualify it is different, we are always playing to win and we want to compete in every competition.”
