Real Madrid vs Barcelona date and time confirmed

The second El Clasico of the season between Real Madrid and Barcelona will be played on 2 March with a 20:45pm (CEST) kick-off time.

La Liga president Javier Tebas confirmed the details of the match, which will be played in Madrid’s Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, on Monday’s edition of El Món on Rac1.

It will be the first time the two sides have met – assuming they avoid each other in the Copa del Rey tie – since Barca’s 5-1 thrashing of Madrid at the Camp Nou in October.

That match was the final game in charge for then Los Blancos boss Julen Lopetegui, who was subsequently replaced by Santiago Solari.

At the time of the announcement, Ernesto Valverde’s Barca are five points clear of Atletico Madrid at the top of La Liga and ten clear of fourth-placed Madrid.
