Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo admits he is a ‘big fan’ of Juventus forward Paulo Dybala and believes the Italian champions ‘are one of Europe’s best’.
Los Rojiblancos go head-to-head with the Old Lady in the last 16 of the Champions League with a lot of the talk centred around the ‘mutual respect’ between the two clubs.
“I’m a big fan of him, but we are not thinking about the transfer window,” Cerezo told an interview with Calciomercato, when asked about Dybala.
“We are hopeful Diego Costa will return (from his injury) in time to face Juventus, because he is a huge asset for us and is always at his maximum during these games.
“Juventus are one of Europe’s best teams and it will be a huge challenge for us, but there is a lot of mutual respect between the two clubs.
“We hold a lot of admiration for each other and I believe that whoever qualifies from this match will go all the way to the final – obviously we hope that is Atleti!
“Cristiano Ronaldo? He is an amazing player, one of the top five in the world – I place him with Messi, Griezmann, Neymar and Mbappe.
“We do not fear him, we have faced him many times, but we know what he is capable of.”
