Real Madrid’s Marcos Llorente ‘frustrated’ at fan whistles

Real Madrid midfielder Marcos Llorente has hit out at whistles from the club’s support directed at his teammates.

Fans of Los Blancos have voiced their displeasure at recent performances including in the home games against CSKA Moscow and Rayo Vallecano.

“Whistles get to the players and make us weaker, all of us would rather fans applauded,” Llorente told reporters, as cited by Marca.

“When you hear your teammates being whistled it is not a nice feeling and it annoys me, because we are stronger when we are united together.

“Everyone at Real Madrid is used to winning things but it is not helpful when fans voice their displeasure like this, it is not encouragement.

“Fans should applaud and encourage players to help us increase our chances of winning.”
