Juan Miranda: ‘Jordi Alba has many years left at Barcelona’

Teenage left-back Juan Miranda believes Jordi Alba ‘has many years left in the Barcelona first-team’ despite making his Champions League debut.

The 18-year-old impressed in his first appearance for the club in the Champions League – and his first outside of three Copa del Rey appearances.

“Alba is very good and has many years left in the Barcelona first-team,” Miranda told reporters, as cited by Marca.

“I’m still in the B squad and will work to continue to enjoy opportunities in the first-team, me and (Marc) Cucurella are good, promising players.

“I’m very happy for my debut of course, although at the start I was particularly nervous but my teammates reassured me.

“Messi and Valverde both told me to be myself and gave me the groundwork to play well, I want to have more opportunities.

“Ousmane Dembele? He has a lot of quality, I do not get involved with his punctuality.”
