Barcelona forward Munir El Haddadi set for new deal

Barcelona forward Munir El Haddadi is ‘in the advanced stages’ of signing a new long-term contract at the Camp Nou, say reports.

Munir has made 30 La Liga appearances for Barca but has spent the past two seasons out on loan, firstly at Valencia and then at Alaves.

He netted 14 goals in 37 appearances for the Basque club last season but was widely expected to leave the Camp Nou on a permanent basis this summer, but player exits ensured he was retained.

The 23-year-old has made six appearances this season, starting just once, and scoring one goal – in the home draw against Athletic Club, but his contract expires in June 2019.

El Mundo Deportivo now report a contract extension at Barca is imminent following reports of a new four-year deal.
