Malaga roundabout named in honour of Manuel Pellegrini

West Ham United boss Manuel Pellegrini has had a roundabout named in his honour in the Andalusian city of Malaga.

Malaga's city council named the roundabout the ‘Glorieta Manuel Pellegrini’ as a reminder of the Chilean’s successful three-year stint at La Rosaleda between 2010 and 2013.

The Coach guided the Costa del Sol club to fourth-place in La Liga in 2012 and brought them to within a minute of the Champions League semi-finals the following season.

“I enjoyed three wonderful years at the club,” Pellegrini told Malaga club media.

“I am very happy to see that the team is now posting strong results in their attempt to return to La Liga, which is where they belong.”

Malaga currently sit second in Spain’s La Liga 123 after last season’s relegation from the top flight.
