Valencia have confirmed Goncalo Guedes has suffered an injury in his left adductor and is now set for a three-week layoff.
The Portugal international pulled up early in Sunday night’s 1-1 draw against Barcelona and was replaced by Denis Cheryshev.
Guedes now looks set to miss his nation’s games against Poland and Scotland while he is also a massive doubt for games with Leganes, Young Boys and Athletic Club.
“The footballer will start with his recovery process at the Paterna Training Ground,” read a Valencia statement.
“As agreed by the medical services of Valencia CF and the Portuguese Football Federation, so Guedes will not travel to the concentration of his national team.”
