Huesca boss Leo Franco insists side ‘believe’ against Atletico Madrid

Huesca boss Leo Franco insists his side ‘believe’ in what they do and will look to cause an upset against Atletico Madrid on Tuesday.

The Argentine spent five years as a player with Los Rojiblancos between 2004 and 2009 and will now face friend and former teammate Diego Simeone in the dugout.

“We are on the right track, we believe in what we do, we are doing well in training and the faith is still intact,” Franco told reporters, as cited by Marca.

“We have only had two months of work in at a level that is new for everyone: for the club, for the city, for the region, people who were here last year, people who have arrived this summer, a new Coach who is learning and who continues to learn.

“This is a very special game for me because I'm the Coach of SD Huesca against a club that I love very much, it is a big challenge of course.

“They are a very tough opponent, with a lot of experience, with a Coach who has been working for a long time, it will really be a very high intensity match.

“Atletico have very few defensive issues but there are some things in which if we are at the top of our game from each player and at a team level then we can have our opportunities.”
