Celta Vigo boss Antonio Mohamed: “I wanted nine points, not seven”

Celta Vigo boss Antonio Mohamed is not happy with his side’s start to the season ‘as we only have seven points and I want nine’.

The Galician side have dropped just two points in their opening three games, including an impressive 2-0 victory against Atletico Madrid, but the Argentine is a perfectionist.

“I expected my team to have nine points, not seven, therefore, I cannot be happy,” Mohamed, whose side play Girona on Monday, is cited as saying by Marca.

“We always want to play the same at home; in Girona we will try to win by taking risks and doing what we attempt to do in training on a daily basis.

“All those players who signed this summer knew that they came to a team with a lot of competition, and those who are playing at the minute cannot forget that they all have teammates who can take their place.

“Girona are a tough opponent who play with a line of five defenders, with plenty of height, who are really tough to play against.”
