Manchester City’s David Silva wants to finish at Las Palmas

Manchester City playmaker David Silva wants to end his playing career at hometown club Las Palmas, he has confirmed.

Silva joined City from Valencia in 2010 and has amassed a total of 349 appearances for the English club, winning three league titles.

“For City, two more seasons – what's left on my contract,” Silva told an interview with BBC when asked about his future.

“After that, I don't know. It depends how I feel physically and mentally although I have always said that I'd like to play for Las Palmas – my local team.

“But we'll see how things go in two years and take it all from there.”

Alongside his spell at Valencia, Silva also enjoyed loan spells at Eibar and Celta Vigo, and won three major honours for the Spanish national side, whom he retired from this year following the World Cup.
