Central defender Alejandro ‘Alex’ Galvez has returned to Rayo Vallecano after terminating his contract at Eibar, it has been confirmed.
The 29-year-old made 60 appearances for Rayo’s first-team between 2012 and 2014, when he left to join German club Werder Bremen.
Galvez returned to Spain in 2016 with Eibar but despite being an early regular in the team, he fell out of favour with Coach Jose Luis Mendilibar and was loaned to Las Palmas in January.
Despite making 19 appearances for Los Amarillos he was unable to save them from relegation and his arrival bolsters the defensive options in Vallecas.
